Wine Tour (guided)
This tour was specially created for clients who love and appreciate good wine. You will travel through the bucolic countryside of South Moravia, in the eastern region of the Czech Republic, meet and talk to quality wine producers and small local vintners, and learn to understand the Moravian wine culture, as well as Moravian wine itself. Through the enchantment of wine you will embark on a journey into Czech history, culture, architecture, and cuisine.

| Day 1 | Vienna
You will be met at your hotel or at the airport by your tour manager, and after a short drive through lovely Lower Austria you will find yourself in Znojmo, a former royal town with an ancient history and the oldest Romanesque rotunda in the Czech Republic. In the afternoon a visit to the wine shop „U Jasneho krize" (The Shining Cross), in the evening a festive welcome dinner.

| Day 2 | Znojmo Tour the beautiful historical center of the town of Znojmo, then a visit to Cross Cellar in Primetice, the largest cellar ofits kind in the world, followed by wine tasting. In the afternoon transfer to Satov, a visit to wine producer Znovin Znojmo, with walking tour of the historic Sobes vineyard in the Podyji National Park. Lunch in the Moravian Cellar in the village of Satov, short tour of Painted Cellar in Satov. In the evening, a lecture and presentation on the topic „History and Development of Viticulture in Moravia".

| Day 3 | Mikulov In the morning visit to Jaroslavice, and the oldest wine archive in the Czech Republic, along with a tour of a 16th century water mill in Slup, a protected technical monument, and its exhibit on milling. Transfer to Mikulov before lunch, where we will see an exhibit on viticulture, the largest wine barrel in Central Europe, and a look at the activities of Vino Mikulov, especially the old-fashioned sparkling wine-making facility. In the evening a visit to the Agricultural Research Station in Perna, with a few words from the vintners, and of course degustation.

| Day 4 | Valtice Morning visit to Valtice,tour of the Valtice Baroque chateau, a part of the Lednice-Valtice UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Vinum Bonum vinotheque, and a meeting with a representative of the Valtice Wine Academy. Afternoon walk around Valtice along the Viticulture Instructional Trail. Evening sit-down in the 17th century Valtice wine cellar, with tasting and a presentation on the present state of Moravian viticulture.

| Day 5 | Pavlov, Lednice Morning transfer to Pavlov, a typical wine-producing village, located on the slopes of the limestone Palava Hills. Examine the situation of small-scale wine growers and their methods of production, hands-on demonstration of wine picking and early phases of production. Have a look at the newly-built Mikulov Viticultural Trail. Afternoon visit to Lednice,and a tour of the most often-visited chateau in Moravia. Evening discussion on new trends in wine production, and a non-traditional look at the function of viticulture.

| Day 6 | Cejkovice Departure for Pouzdrany,visit to the Kolby Pouzdrany Company, meeting with wine producers, degustation. Specialty: straw wine! Tour of an 18th-century Renaissance house and archeological site of Anabaptist culture. After lunch, transfer to Cejkovice – tour of Anabaptist cellars and degustation of wines from the Cejkovice region.

| Day 7 | Milotice, Petrov
Morning departure for Milotice, and a tour of its Renaissance chateau
and French garden. Then an afternoon look at Plzen, a unique collection
of original wine cellars in the village of Petrov.

| Day 8 | Straznice Morning transfer to Straznice, featuring the chateau, with an exhibit on traditional musical instruments, and an outdoor museum of traditional local folk architecture and culture. Afternoon visit to Research Station for Wine Growing and Production, explanation of basic methods, degustation.
Overnight in Cejkovice.

| Day 9 | Uherske Hradiste Morning tour of Uherske Hradiste, visit to the pilgrimage site at Velehrad – tour of the Cathedral of St. Mary and Sts. Cyril and Methodious. After lunch, transfer to Castle Buchlov, visit to village of Tupesy, with its famous majolica pottery; demonstration of production. Farewell dinner (regionalspecialty).
